KAIKAINA
Sisters of the ocean, wild, playful, strong, bold, feminine. Together, they just want to have fun.
In Hawaiian, “KAI” means Ocean, Sea or Water and “KAINA” means younger sibling or sister. Together, KAIKAINA can be translated into "ocean sisterhood", "sisterhood of the sea", or "sisters of the ocean".
Inspired by the Kaikaina surf girl movie, I want to create a collection that embodies the surfer girl sisterhood essence, but in a more relatable form. Originally designed for surfers in mind, not every girl who love Sol & Ocean is a surfer.
This playful, bursting with energy, slightly retro styled collection showcase sisterhood, a strong bond between women, much like the connection between the ocean and the land. Loving every moment together.
